Join over 250 people taking to the Kerry Way on Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of July to hill walk 71km over three days. Led by experienced walk leaders, with groups of 25 to 30, allows you to walk at a pace suitable to your level of fitness.
The guided walks will start and finish each day in Kenmare and will incorporate impressive mountain views, dramatic peaks and glens, wild moorlands, wooded paths and lakes along the Kerry Way and Beara Way trails.
Challenging but fun, the great camaraderie on the routes adds to the spectacular settings and ensures a truly memorable experience. This event is a great opportunity to achieve a personal goal, to meet new people, keep fit or honour a loved one. Walk one, two or all three days and help raise vital funds for cancer research.
The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk has gone from strength to strength over the past six years raising a phenomenal €500,000 for cancer research programmes at Cork Cancer Research Centre thanks to your continuous support and generosity. Although we are living in challenging economic times, research must progress if we are to continue advancing new cancer treatments and positively impacting patient lives.
To register for the Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk 2012, simply logon to our dedicated event website http://www.kerrywaycancerwalk.ie or call the fundraising team on 1890 998 998.
Breakthrough Cancer Research funds the National Research Programmes administered by Cork Cancer Research Centre, building on our history of over 15 years of research into cancer leading to more than 5 clinical trials. On behalf of the staff and patients of the Centre, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all participants and supporters without whom this event would not be possible.
We look forward to seeing all the familiar faces in July, as well as welcoming all new comers!
