Do I have to do the  310,000 steps  in one day?

No, the goal is to do 310,000 steps throughout the month of  March. It is up to you how you take on this challenge. Most people will be doing 10,000 a day but do what best suits your lifestyle.

How do I keep track of how many  steps  I’m doing?

That’s easy! You can use the step counter on your phone or any smart watch. At the end of each day, you can write down how many steps you did in our tracker included in your fundraising pack. Don’t forget to post in the Facebook Group too and let us know how you’re doing!

How do I prove that I have complete my steps?

As part of this challenge, you will be asked to set up a 310,000 Steps in March Facebook Fundraising Page for Breakthrough Cancer Research, where you can post your steps weekly or daily depending on preference. These pages are linked to Breakthrough Cancer Research and we’ll be able to see your progress.

Can I do more than 310,000 Steps?

Of course. Setting a goal of 310,000 Steps and then exceeding that goal would be fantastic!

My friend who is not on Facebook would like to donate. How can they do that?

If someone not on Facebook wants to donate, they should still be able to do so. Share the direct link of your fundraiser with them and they can enter their details. Alternatively there are two other options for them to support your fundraiser:

  1. They can give you the cash or transfer you the funds (via Revolut, PayPalMe, Online Banking etc) and you can add the donation to your fundraiser yourself.
  2. They can donate directly to Breakthrough Cancer Research via www.breakthroughcancerresearch.ie/donate-now. If they do this please ask them to put your name and ‘310,000 Steps in March’ in the message box so funds can be allocated correctly.
My friend accidentally donated to my Facebook Fundraiser. Can you issue them a refund?
