Cork’s Bravest Men take to the Catwalk for Cancer Research

Cork’s bravest men will walk the catwalk for an all-male fashion show on Friday, 18 November at the Clayton Silversprings Hotel, Cork to raise awareness of cancers affecting men and funds for cancer research.

Event Organiser and Cancer survivor, Joanie Hanley, last year came up with a novel idea to raise awareness of cancer affecting men, “I wanted to highlight the important and life-saving role these men play in our society. They are taking to the catwalk to raise vital funds for cancer research as well as to honour all the men in our communities – our dad, granddads, brothers, and uncles.”

As a former nurse, mother of five and grandmother of four, Joanie had the idea of asking the first responders such as the member of Gardaí, Army, Navy, Port of Cork Pilots and Launch Pilots, Ambulance and Fire Service to walk the catwalk for charity.

Tickets for the event cost €30 and can be purchased by clicking here.
