Breakthrough Demands Better for Pancreatic Cancer

Today is World Pancreatic Cancer Day and the only Irish member of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition we are highlighting the signs to look out for and to demand better for patients and survival.

Pancreatic Cancer has the lowest Survival rate of all major cancers and in Ireland the 5 year survival rate is just 9%.  We must demand better.

For the next 24-36 hours we will be sharing videos, infographics and research stories on our social media channels and are asking the public to share them so they reach as many people as possible.

The public can also show their support by wearing Purple and sharing their picture with us.

A number of buildings will light up purple tomorrow to also join us including:

·      The Mansion House

·      UCC

·      The Rock of Cashel

·      Cork City Hall and

·      Blackrock Castle.

So please get involved: Wear Purple, Share Information and Demand Better.

The survival rates for Pancreatic Cancer need to drastically improve and we must all be part of making that happen.
