We are delighted to announce that Breakthrough Cancer Research has been chosen as a finalist in the prestigious 2020 Cork Business of the Year Awards in the category of Best Professional Services.

This year the CBA received a record number of entrants and especially congratulated the finalists for demonstrating such innovation and resilience in a challenging year.

There are 3 finalists in each category, which are now opened to public vote at CBAawards.ie/vote.

Voting will end on April 5 and is limited to one entry per email.

The CBA awards are judged by an independent panel from Cork’s business and civic community, so it is a huge honour to make it this far. The judges include the Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Joe Kavanagh, Seamus Heaney Head of Visit Cork, Alan Healy editor of the Munster Business Hub in the Irish Examiner, John Cleary from JCD, Kevin Herlihy from Centra, Tony Kerins from Peninsula, Paul McGuirk LEO Cork City, and Linda Kiely from MASV, in addition to myself as President.

The overall winners will be announced at the CBA President’s Dinner and Cork Business of the Year Awards, which will take place virtually this year on Saturday 17th April.

PS: If you are voting it would be great to also vote for Dr. Patrick Seigne for the Champion of Cork, Dr Seigne is the ICU doctor who organised a charity cycle last year to benefit four charities, including Breakthrough Cancer Research, who have been hugely impacted by Covid.
